Hello ladies. If you are reading this you are interested in joining a local bowls club or you are looking to begin to take part in this wonderful sport.
Penryn Bowls club is well established and has a thriving ladies section.
Among its members are one ex international and 9 regular County Badged players plus people who play for the enjoyment and to be in excellent company.
Many players enter the County and National Competitions each year and usually achieve some successes. Last year collecting 2 County trophies and 7 Divisional ones. In past years players have made it to the National Finals at Leamington.
We play in three Leagues.
The Date Cup which is two teams of triples.
The Rippon which is one rink.
The Evening Triples,a competition for unbadged players.
The ladies also play in strollers matches.
As we have an artificial rink, players are on the green throughout the winter and Thursday afternoon is a fun mixed session.

Strollers
Strollers is a friendly competition played on Friday afternoons, mainly for casual and inexperienced players who do not want to play or cannot commit themselves to league games. It is open to men and women and is an introduction into competitive games played in a more relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The team consists of 9 players divided into three rinks, playing 18 ends. The season is from early May until August, both home and away games against 6 other local clubs.

Carpet Bowls
In winter when it is cold outside, Carpet Bowls is the answer. We are part of the Falmouth and Camborne District League and have two teams competing. Carpet Bowls is very friendly and our away games are always enjoyable.

Winter Roll-up
1st October to 31st March - Join our Winter roll ups on Thursdays 12.30 for 1.00 p.m. Ideal for the experienced and inexperienced bowlers to get some relaxed and enjoyable practice in friendly competition. Members of Clubs with grass greens, join up to maintain hand and eye co-ordination during the winter months..
